Welcome to the Walton County School District! We are glad your student will be attending one of our schools.
Prekindergarten (Pre-K)
Each year, WCSD holds a prekindergarten (pre-k) lottery drawing to fill seats in the Bright from the Start funded pre-k program. Click here for more information on the pre-k enrollment process.
Kindergarten - 12th grade
Registration for NEW students in grade levels K through 12 is processed through an easy-to-use, secure online registration system that will allow you to complete many of the forms required for registering your child. Additional documentation (listed below) will need to be delivered to your local school or uploaded during the online registration process. Please contact your local school with any questions regarding online registration.
Please Note: Kindergarten registration for new students for all WCSD schools begins in March each year for the upcoming school year. Please wait until March 1 to contact your local school for more information.
Items Needed for Registration
- Certified Birth Certificate
- Shot Record on Georgia Department of Public Health Form 3231
- Certificate of Ear, Eye and Dental Examinations - Georgia Department of of Public Health Form 3300
- Proof of Residency
- A copy of the student's social security card or signed waiver
Dexter Mosley Act (Grades 6-12)
Under the Dexter Mosley Act (Senate Bill 51), home study students in grades six through 12 are eligible to participate in extracurricular and interscholastic activities in the Walton County School District. Click here for additional information on eligibility and registration.
